Your lights are dimming because your electrical system is not sufficient for 1500w. The big 3 will most likely not solve this. A more powerful alternator and larger reserve capacity (batteries) would.

Seems kinda small for the price. Check the classifieds here, a lot of guys have decent used batts for sale for pretty cheap.
