C&C appreciated but please be respectful. Also, please don't turn my thread into a import vs. domestic argument.

Very nice job, nice Honda too.

btw, whey did you leave those Rainbow crossovers exposed? Prolly look better hidden to keep the clean look of your Civic.

Also, nice photochop action, good photography.

does anyone ever sit your back seat? those crossovers would make me nervous there. wheres the alt located on that version civic? ive got an 05 and i think ive deemed it nearly impossible for me to fit my hands in to do the big 3 without having to remove some stuff to get to it. and since im not the most engine savy i dont have the confidence to do it. think im just going to update the batt ground and call it a day.

The crossover location is actually very safe due to how far the seat cushion overhangs. Its also very difficult to find other locations for the crossovers due to their size.

The Alternator location is tucked away under the intake manifold. I had to remove the intake and snake my arm underneath the IM w/ a wrench. It was a painful, but love hurts right?

yep, exactly and i dont know that i want to take my intake off to do it. i dont know i know how difficult it is to get out of my car, id be worried someone would kick it or something. could of put em under the seat or in the trunk somewhere. mine are mounted to my trunk floor next to my spare tire.

even though you say the seat has an overhang it still doesn't make that a safe spot from getting hit by heels or objects you toss in the back seath that fall and roll around.

imo i wouldn't place them there. it also stick out like a sore thumb.

if you wanted them exposed you should mount them close to the amps on a rack or such.

other than that, clean ride.

dood getting to the alternator on the 05 civic is a sinch. i'm sure you can fit your arm down there w/o having to remove anything. just get a socket wrench with an extender and your set.

nice job, good to see another k20 owner into the car audio field. i have the big 2 right now, still need to do the chassis to engine block upgrade. was it hard to get to your alternator, it was a ***** on mine, but at the same time i did the hondata intake manifold gasket.

i had my ed 6000.v2 crossovers in the same location, actually wanted to put my dls ones there, but there too heavy and massive lol. but great stuff man, and nice choice in equipment.

Removing the IM was just out of the question. I didn't want to deal with removing the fuel injectors so I had to become a contortionist for about 20 minutes. If I was replacing the IMG, then my job would've been a lot easier. Another option was removing the front radiator support, but that was a pain as well. They sure don't make them as easy to work with as before.

I have an 06 Honda civic, non Si and god I wish I could have afforded the Si. The only upside to my car is wonderful gas mileage. hahaha
I've driven a EX coupe and I was really impressed with the comfort of the car. The suspension was forgiving, the clutch was light, and the steering was effortless. I'm paying $52.00 a tank (310 miles/29 MPG/11 gallon tank) and sometimes I wish I had the EX. I envy your car.
