Big 3 alt to positive question

Yeah, there's a ton of stuff that I don't know about. Heck...I didn't even know about this big 3 until a few months ago, which was when I first really started to get in to Car Audio.

i think this is the first time ive seen a noobie get TREMENDOUS help to solve a problem with little to NO hassle.....

x2 to the quote above and bubba's advice on rounding up when measuring wire length.

Would the wire be long enough if you added an inline fuse??

yeah i forgot about a fuse lol... get a fuse or 2 and put them inbetween the wire and the batt... needed incase of something bad happens. and will definatly give u the extra length u need.( about 4 or 5 inches )

ok you don't need 2 fuses when the wire is only 30" long...

Yeah, I did think about fuses for the big 3, but like Buck said, I've never seen fuses for the big 3 either.

So? Does that mean since all the people you know don't fuse their wire that makes it ok? It's there for protection in case something bad happens...it's not like it shows any results on a day to day basis...

Didn't read the responses but did you think about adding a fuse? Knu fuses are about 6.5-7 inches long.

I'm not saying that it shouldn't be done, but I've never heard someone's big 3 horror story. And no I don't think that, usually based on what equipment they are running, lol.

OP, fuse/ don't fuse at your discretion. You've read both sides of the debate.

For me a $10-20 fuse is relatively cheap for a peace of mind.
