Biden: Wealthy Americans Must Pay More Taxes to Show Patriotism

It was obvious who you were talking about when you mentioned those that grow up to be successful atheletes. We all know that only black people are good at sports.
and rappers and etc.... it was very obvious to me, even though I know you are just doing your thang to rashad.

People are always breaking out their pitchforks and jumping on the bandwagon to **** the wealthy because they got a bigger tax break than the middle class and the lower class. The truth is most Americans have no idea what that means, and are coming from a place of jealousy and bitterness.
Do you realize that if they give the richest 1% of the country a 50% decreases in the percentage they pay towards taxes, the rich would still be paying 25% more higher percentage than the poor?

This is because the income tax percentage for the poor is somewhere in the

15% range, while the wealthiest 1% of the country give close to 50% of their income to government for taxes.

The richest 1% that got the bush tax cuts got the largest percentage discount, but still, after that discount, the percentage that they are required to pay is still nearly double what the lower middle class is required to pay!

So if you make $100 you get to keep roughly $85

While the wealthy are only left with roughly $50

Doesn’t seem fair to me.

If you ask most Americans how they feel about a fair tax system where everyone pays the same exact percentage, many people would be for it. 25% is a number that most people can agree on. If this is the case though, that means that the poor get an increase of 10% and the rich get a decrease of 50% while the middle class stays put. That is a much more extreme position to take compared to the bush tax cuts..

Put your pitchforks away and stop *****ing about the rich having so much money and getting such a large tax breaks. It doesn’t add to up fairness, just ludicrousy.
Actually, I just posted what I said to illict a response such as yours, and to overall increase my post count - and thats all what REALLY matters anyways //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

My questions were all valid. I'm asking your opinion and your current status.
Victims of circumstance. Should the rich be punished for the accomplishments of their families? If you work hard enough, you can get out of poverty and into a better society. Is it hard? Yes. Was it hard for the original founders of these wealthy families to do it, you bet (for the most part).
Im really not sure why you picked me to answer those questions, I agree with you. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Also its not like the rich don't have their own problems. You couldn't pay me to be a celebrity
I would. And I would have fun doing it to.

Look, I am 100% against people who literally, dont do shit because the government sends them a check every month that they just spend on alcohol or poorly etc...those people as far as I'm concerned can go die in a fire.

What I'm not okay with is the number of kids who have a hard enough time surviving as they grow up, and on top of it dont have teachers at school willing to teach them, and certainly dont have anywhere near the same educational opportunity that the wealthy or middle class do.

I've been in schools, where I've had friends that couldn't come to school everyday because they had to work to make sure they could eat, and hell..the school was hardly worth shit anyway...teachers that dont give a shit...no books worth even opening, pretty much no reason to even be there...

Thankfully my family did make it, and we are pretty well off, and we live in a nicer area now, and I'll likely be able to send my kids to nice schools, and have them be successful as well, etc.

But how am I supposed to not care about the kids I knew who didn't get lucky...who don't have parents who are working their ***** off trying to give them a better life...who still dont have shit at schools...etc...they are my concern. I don't understand why rich kids deserve to recieve a better education FROM OUR GOVERNMENT, than poor kids do. If rich people want to spend their money to send their kids to private schools where they can get the education they so deserve, fine, do it, I'm all for that, education is the most valuable thing there is. But there is no reason our government needs to contribute to the educational opportunity or class gap

The sooner you realize the world is not all fluffy white clouds the better off you will be.

How is making it getting lucky?

randomly your parents just moved you out of your area to a nicer area? Or did they work hard at it and make smart decisions?

Feel free to care about them all you want. There's nothing you can do about it. There will always be worthless people. That is a fact by design of the human being.

I don't understand why rich kids deserve to recieve a better education FROM OUR GOVERNMENT, than poor kids do.
WTF? That's the first time you said that. How in the hell are rich kids getting better education than the poor kids from the government??

I agree with you, but at the same time, there is no way to assure the money taken out of my checks actually goes to benefiting a child.

Also, not to knock anyones view or point, but being born into a bad family is kind of Natural selection. It's funny that liberals want nothing to do with the creationism aspect, but when someone is born into a bad family, they DONT let natural selection run its course.

Not saying I agree with what I just said lol, but just playing devil's advocate.

But you are asking for the government to run the family...How can you fault the school if the parents do not care? How can you fault the government if the parents do not care? Are you suggesting that government over-step the parents in providing education if the parents are unworthy?

1. If I do vote, it would probly be for independent. 2. I do not agree, the reasons are plastered all over this thread. I tend to agree with most of what others have said in their arguments against taxing the higher income americans.

3. My household is just me, If you include what I make at my job, along with VA benefits(education/disability) and with income from side work, I make about 3500-3800/per month after taxes here. In FL I only made about 2500 after taxes, but also didnt have to worry about paying for housing.

Me, I would be one of the people benefiting from this. But I dont feel I need it, I know if I was rich, id be even more stingy than I am now, and would be highly pissed about something like this. Also, my side work, comes from the small business that I invested in and am also an employee of (my brother's businesses). Which is why I wanted to hear more of what sundownz thought of this.

Answer your questions sufficiently?
Interesting. You really could have a split opinion on this as you realize that you can make cash from being considered "not rich" but your source of income could greatly be punished for being "higher income".

I think you bring up the main point though. You would benefit but do not need it. Poor/middle class, what you seem to have a problem with being alloted more funds and then using them up and then yelling "the gov't is screwing me". How many people actually paid bills with the stimulus check (redundant question people, how hard would it be for you to say you did pay a bill but how long would it take before you bought something because you had "extra cash)? Very few I'm sure paid bills and didn't buy something soon after.

We as a middle class society complain how the rich are just getting richer while we are getting poorer. Fact is, they are investing and saving and we buy buy buy.

I've been in schools, where I've had friends that couldn't come to school everyday because they had to work to make sure they could eat

Those kids parents would qualify for local and federal aid to prevent that. They are from families that don't care or have addiction problems (usually). There is not a whole lot the state can do about that other than take the kids away, but that would be a tough case to deal with and cost the state thousands of dollars while it turns our society into the opposite of freedom and liberty.

People have the right to be asshats and thier kids are left holding the bag...fact.

The only solution would be to license people's right to reproduce and that would be looney on the scale of "Ron Paul for president".

You are mistaking my comments as mean or flaming. I realize you agree with me and I was honestly just asking your stance on it long term (which you answered). As your in a position that benefits slightly but could ultimately take away a large source of income, you have an interesting take on it.
