Well, that's part of the reason taxes may be higher. The other reason is that the millage rate differs.

Anyway, the cost of housing difference is enough in many instances to require a signicantly greater income in the more expensive location.

If you want to make it fair, make everyone pay the same percentage..

This is a very valid point. I think all poor, disabled, sick, and immagrant US citizens should be given every opportunity in life to do a hair trick.
