Biamping w/ 2 amps?

Is it possible & worthwhile to biamp a set of Germaniums using amps such as a Zapco 200.2 (50x2) and Zapco 360.4 (180x2)? I've never done this before and needed a little feedback on what I should do to accomplish this. Thought about going active before, but I would love to leave my xover in the mix.

Yes, it can be done easily, it is called classic active setup when you drive mids with one amp and tweets with another....

No need for it if you use an electronic one, and there's no real point to keeping it in a vehicle...

So my best bet would be to remove the Germanium xover and just use the CDA-9887 in an active setup. Also, is going active better than biamping for a SQ point-of-view?
