just was wondering would my comps be louder if i bi amped them with the crossovers that come with the comps i have polk momo 6.5's

also bi amping couldnt i give the mid alot more power than just sending 135rms to the xover and not bi amping them

another words i could send just the mid around 150rms and the tweet around 50rms or how would tht work

you may not understand how passives work ..... first remember that passive crossovers do soak up some of the amp power, so if you put 135 watts into a passive, you may be getting out 100 or 110 watts or whatever. The second thing is that when you go passive, both the mid AND the tweet see the full power being fed into the crossover (minus bleed off) in the speakers respective freq range. The problem here is that amps only have a certain amount of power, which is being spread out over a large range of freq's. Typically, you can go active with say a 100x4 amp and just set the gains right.

Not necessarily louder, biamping just gives you the ability to adjust the gain of the mids and tweeters independently, which, as you pointed out with your 150W + 50W example, is exactly what you'd be able to do. Although, when biamping, you can certainly send a lot more power to the mids since there's a good chance they will handle a lot more power than the tweeters.
