Yea hatches really provide a lot of SPL. Gonna need sound deadening in it though. Mine rattles like a *****.

CRXs are excelent spl cars, as well as other small hatchback vehicles.

suburban would be the best for space issues as well as giving the sound waves some time to form, (lots of space)

downsides would include the mic being pretty far away and thae fact that it isn't a hatch design

its tough because if your going for an all out serious SPL vehcile, the larger the better(with in limits though) so if you want huge numbers you would use a full size vehicle like the ones you listed because the fact that you can produce a larger box inside of it//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

ok cool.i know the hatchback's are best but im not gonna drive that everyday.its either those 3 cars ill pick from.since the car is longer and the mic is farther away would it register lower db's for me?

yea maybe just a little. but think about it u'd get even lower db's if u didn't have a monster box. so its worth it. like burtonsnow83 said more waves can form.

ok cool.well its gonna be one those 3 most likely.and i know they got trunk space.a 2door tahoe has 17cubes before displacement below the window and seat.so a suburban or 4door is gonna have lots

but then again, Nathum Munson who is one of the best in the world has been using that 1978 little honda Civic, he is currently running 2 Solox's I think
