better amp for my w7??

what would be the better amp for my w7 a alpine 1000.1 or a jl audio 1000.1 and why? i would prefer to go with the alpine because its cheaper but if its a big differnce im willing to spend the extra cash

would the alpine amp be at much of disadvantage for this sub? the only reason im considering it is its 200 dollars cheaper :S

I like the JLs bass eq....
