best wiring way

ok, ill have a run of 1/0 going to a battery in the back. i will have 2 aq2200d's, and a kicker amp for my speakers.

whats the best way to wire this? i have a http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KNF-12 from a previous install btw

i dont know if the aq2200d takes 1/0 or 4/0

would the best way be to wire this like 1/0 from back battery to a distroblock which goes to the kicker amp, and then another run of 1/0 from the battery to the amps? or what?

I would just run 1 ga to the back batt. Then connect all the amps with 4ga to the back batt + and -. With proper fusing of course.

kk. so a run of 4ga to each of the amps. ill do 1/0 distro to 2 4ga tho for the sub amps probabbly to keep it clean looking, and since i already have the distroblock. thanks for the quick repsonse!

You need to add a fuse on the 4 awg wires that connect the amps to the rear battery. You will need a 125A fuse for each 4 awg wire. Other than that, it looks good.

No, just one 125A fuse per 4 awg wire as close to the battery as possible.

You fuse to the capacity of the wire, if your amp draws more than that you need bigger wire

If the amp has larger than 4 awg inputs, then use the proper size wire with the proper sized fuse.

Ya, you should probably stick with 1/0 to the amps since those amps require a 200amp fuse which is too much power for 4ga.

kk. so this is where im at.

single run of 1/0 guage to back batts, if a fuse pops, i know ill need another run.

1/0ga to the amps.

fuse on both ends of battery to battery wire, and fuse right after the battery to the amp

so from that pic its a 300 by the batt, and a 200 by the amp. correct?
