best way to seal a sub into a box

alright so i used silicone to seal the box but i dont want to put silicone on my sub gasket...so what is a better way? weather stripping is my only other idea...help?

Did u try just screwing it in. If not do this first. If you are leaking then look for somthing to seal it in with

yes it tried screwing it in, lol...but im working with resonably high Dbs...the air wants to find a quick escape route...aka...leaks around the gasket

Just use duct tape if you think it's a problem... I have my 18s screwed in, and I'm working with 152 decibels without problems. But, I'm sure if I duct tapes around them I'd gain a tenth of a decibel
