best way to run lots of lights..

i forget.. exactly what is the point of a relay again.. besides acting like a magnetic switch?

and what size relay would i use

Relay powers on multiple accessories. It's turned on by your remote-turn on, and powered by 12v power usually from a distribution block. The other components are powered by the relay's turn-on, and some are grounded such as fans/neons/etc.

The size depends on the accessories. But, most 30Amp relays will do the job just fine.

It's an electronic switch. Instead of putting a high load on a switch, you put the high load on the relay. You can also run a higher voltage with a lower voltage using a relay.

I have a TON of glow but I didnt use one.

As for the wires, Try not running to many, try splicing them together like have one main wire, then heep taping into that wherever a neon/cathode/led is.

if you are going to do this though, i would suggest using a bigger gauge as your main wire, and then smaller guage a your tap in wires. but i think you should do a relay personnally.

then how do i know how many amp relay to put on and what style.. right now i think i have a single pole double throw. or somethin

the basic relay most auto stores sell is a 30 amp relay. this it perfect for most applications. I'd suggest LEDs or Cold cathodes instead of Neons. Both LEDs and Cathodes consume less power and are brighter for longer. If you're LED interior running effects lights, run your LEDs in parallel and I like to use 20ga speaker wire to keep the power and ground together.
