Hey everybody....

i was wondering if you guys could tell me something...If i lower my car (1999 Cavalier) with some lowering springs (no extra shocks/struts, only the springs) from a reputable company like Eibach or something, will my ride get stiffer or more cushony?

i would really like to lower my car but i don't want my ride to be stifff...

also do you guys have any suggestions for shocks that would make my ride comfy?

i have REALLY bad roads by my house so if the ride is stiff..... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

lowering your car will make it stiffer... espically with the eibachs i had/have a 95 beretta that i lower with eibachs (believe its the same kit as the cavys) but it made it much stiffer

Lowering will always sacrifice comfort... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif Common sense //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

IF u lower too much on stock shocks they will blow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif and ur car will rebound like no other...

Koni, Tokico makes good shocks. You could go for a full set of coilovers instead of going spring/shock. But it will most likely be more stiff then a set of springs/shocks. If you're going to lower it just a little bit, you could go for some springs like Teins. They're really soft riding springs.

stay away from kyb's i've had nothing but bad luck with them just from my own personal experience... just a thought oh yeah stay away from them el cheapo autozone shocks too... gabriels i think is the name.. teh shittay

ok so i'm looking at the eibach proline lowering springs: http://www.cardomain.com/item/EIB3860140

which is 1.4" drop which is good for me. Does anyone have any opinions of the Eibach proline lowering springs besides pickup1?

on cardomain it just shows shocks and says that i have front shocks, but i'm almost positive i have front struts. Either way, does it really even matter? I mean if it says front, then it will fit right?

I was looking at these Tokico Shocks/Struts:

(Front) http://www.cardomain.com/item/TOKHB3211

(Rear) http://www.cardomain.com/item/TOKHU3745

altogether that would be about 480 shipped from cardomain (i have to pay tax from their, but their warehouse is 20 minutes away from my house so i get free 1 day shipping).

Do you think these will ride ok? I don't want it to get much worse...

also do you know anywhere i can get them for a cheaper price? Ebay?

Well the car was free, so i can't really complain....it only had 25K miles on it and was free.

Anyway, so your saying if i get those springs and shocks that i should not experience any difference in ride quality? thats good to hear. It doesn't ride that well, but its ok.
