Best way to run a second battery? Quick Question.

I have heard some people say run pos. front to pos. back, and ground back battery to frame, and others say front pos. to back pos., as well as front neg. to rear neg. I am wondering, and hoping someone can help, what is the better option? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each, other than cost of wire? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You answered your own question. It's better to ground in the trunk because it saves you the extra run of wire. Try the trunk ground first. If you have issues, then run a negative. No reason to if you don't have to. And more than likely, you won't have to. But every car/system acts differently.

copper conducts better then steel. thats why most people say make a run of each from front to back..

my theory is though if you have enough surface area connection on your ground to steel, it is capable of more currant than any 0awg copper wire.. Am i right?

From what I understand a direct frame ground is pretty close to zero gauge. Just anywhere in the floor of a unibody car, no way. I think I remember it was around 4 ga at most.

I did mine like the Kinetik webside said. 2 runs to the back with a fused positive. I had it the other way until this weekend.
