best way to reduce noise

i have a slight noise in my Components. I figure its prolly a not so good ground but wats the best way to get kinda a buzz or hum out of the sound of my components? when i turn it up i cant hear a thing and when i rev my engine it gets louder....wats the best way to get rid of it? Thanks

use looms to protect the RCA heads.

so if i have rcas for my sub and my speakers coming from the HU, do i need 2 of them to stop all the noise? and my rcas are ran on the opposite side of the car...jus for reference of my knowledge of that law...

A ground-loop isolator is a band-aid. It's a coverup rather than a real solution.

hazardous0388, what you're experiencing is commonly referred to as "alternator whine."

You're getting inducted noise into your system that corresponds with your engine RPM. Generally it is caused by a poor ground connection *somewhere.*

This can be caused by a bad ground connection on the headunit or your amp(s).

In certain Pioneer headunits it can be caused by a bad internal ground trace on the board and cannot be remedied without having the unit sent in for servicing.

What exactly makes up your setup? Where is each piece of equipment grounded? How good are your interconnects? (meaning are they from a decent brand-name or are you running Wal-Mart or Radio Shack el cheapos?)

Like I said...the noise you're experiencing is usually the result of a poor ground somewhere in the signal path. Troubleshooting and actually finding that poor ground can sometimes be a time-consuming endeavor...
