Hi all, I am very knowledgeable in the home audio side of things...but not so much in the car audio anymore. I am looking to add some new speakers and am trying to find the best way to do it. I prefer to have my fade in the car about 60 front/40 back. This can be argued until the cows come home, but it is a reference so you can give me better advice. I drive:
2003 Grand Am GT w/monsoon sound system. I want a little more bass and some cleaners mids and highs. I think I can get the bass I am looking for withoit adding a sub.
Is it best to just add 6x9's to the back?
Should I just add 6x9's to the front?
Or, should I do 6x9's in the back, new tweeters in the door and also new 6.5" in the door? Essentially swapping it all out? I am not sure where my best bang for the buck would be if I were to only swap one thing out.
The local dealer sells Memphis, Kenwood and Hertz. Of these three what should I go with? Is there any brands online that are better than these. My budget is $200-$300 for everything...so it is not that high. Thanks for the help all.
