Best way to fire sub in small hatchback?

Would firing it up have any benefit versus firing it towards the rear?

Also, the people that built my box made the hole to big for the terminal cup they gave me. Is there any way to fix this? Are there more than one size terminal cups?

I have found most hatches to be best with subs up and ports back.

You can always caulk around the terminal cup.

i agree, i have a integra and have had the best luck with the port facing back

It's a Kia Spectra5.

Sealed 12" JLW3V3 with about 450 going to it.

Will any silicone caulk do....I gotta fill a good size gap and want it airtight.

With a single 12 sealed you could easily flip the box and see what sounds best to you.

I guess the displacement would be so small it really would not make a difference.

I have lots of extra scraps of mdf laying around.
