Best way to build wedge boxes?

So after measuring my trunk, I've quickly sketched up the two lower wedge designs for two potential subs:

After seeing the massive decrease in needed width when using the wedge-type box as opposed to a regular rectangular prism (because of the gap created by the sloped seatbacks) to create the same airspace, I've decided I'd like to use the wedge-type design. However, I have no idea what the best way to cut the angles and such is. Tomorrow I will have access to a large woodshop at my gf's art school, and am planning on trying to do most of the cutting tomorrow.

Should I cut the boards a little longer than needed and then just sand the angles, or use a table saw or other saw somehow to make them? I don't know too much about woodworking. I'd vastly appreciate your guys' help with this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I was gonna ask - can I use the rear (sloped) side as the only angled side? That seems like it'd be the most efficient. Then I can use the sides as the ultimate caps for the box.

You can tilt the blade on a table saw. Always mark your pieces (inside/out or front/back), and check 3 times before putting er in the saw. You could get away with just doing the slants on the back piece, but will be some tricky calcs to get it right. You don't want to end up too short.

Thanks a lot for the quick responses guys - I watched the vids fasfocus and If I do it the way it shows there I calculated that I need to make a 30.26 degree cut on the top horizontal piece and a 59.74 degree cut on the bottom horizontal piece... Can a table saw cut an almost 60 degree angle?

In the vid they used a magnetic digital protractor... I suppose I just mark the angle on the board and do my best to line up the blade?

ok for the bottom design here are your pieces:

TOP DESIGN

1 Top: 6.438 (d) x 19.5 (b) x 0.75 (thick) in

30.26° cut angle (front edge only)

1 Front: 12.59 (e) x 19.5 (b) x 0.75 (thick) in

+/- 30.26° cut angles

1 Back: 10.5 (a) x 19.5 (b) x 0.75 (thick) in

1 Bottom: 13 © x 19.5 (b) x 0.75 (thick) in

Moneys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif thanks I'll look into that.

So... If the sloped piece overlaps the bottom horizontal (floor) piece, I guess I intitially (before and angles) cut the bottom piece shorter by a length x if x is the length of the bottom piece that would be intersecting the sloped piece were they not cut at all? If the below makes sense:

I believe, according to opposite angle properties and stuff that this is correct...?
