That Alpine is not a bad deal. I have an Elemental Designs Nine.1 that they delivered for $350, it is a great amp for the price.

Just find an amp that does its rated power and matches up with your sub of choice. You should spend more time on box design and sound deadning which will both play more of a part in how you bass sounds than whether or not you go with Kicker JL or Fosgate on your amp.

Jbl makes just as good as amps, or better than the ones you mentioned. Very solid, and reliable amps. As reliable as it gets.

The amp is 289 not 389. The orion is used also. Im not saying they gto's would beat the crossfire, but the crown amps may give them a run.

I'd take that Alpine over most of what you mentioned. The Alpine's DSP kicks all of them square in the nuts.

Or you could snag my Memphis 16-ST1500D....It does 1500wrms@2ohms It is the sweet looking chrome one. Very awesome amp, there are pics in my gallery of it PM if interested....
