best ump under $400

i need a amp to power my 12" l7 that is 2 ohm dvc. i went to a couple different shops and they recommended a jl 500/1, kicker kx600, and a rockford power series amp. i am just wondering what i should get? i am going to get the amp from ebay and i can get a renewed kx1200 for about the same price as a jl 500/1. what should i do?

don't buy from indoaudio. that kicker amp is a beast. alot of them i have seen benched at over 1500 watts rms, so you need to watch your gains. something like an orion 1200D would work well.
