Best Subs

Im looking to get 2 10 or 12 inch subs for a 00 Honda Accord coupe, i was wondering what brand should i get for the best sound? Eclipse Mtx RF AudioBahn? kicker? whats the best and what kinda amp should i use to power them , thanks for any help.

here's the problem with you question. it's like going to a mall and asking everyone around "what's the best song on the radio" in order to get an answer that'll be tailored for you, you have give some parameters.

Here's a hint on what we as a forum need to know to give you our input/suggestions.

What's your price range?

What kind of music do you listen to?

What kind of box are they going in? (sealed, ported, bandpass, freeair?)

What kind of power handling are you looking at? more specifically, what amp?

What kind of sound do you want? hard hitting, or boomy?

and any other info you might think is relavent.

After you tell us that, we can better offer suggestions.

Price Range is not determined i don't want to break the band but no cheap crap

I like rap/hip=hop and techno

mostlikely a sealed box unless the subs i choose preform better in diff box

i would think the amp depends on subs but im lookin at bout 1000 watt

Eclipse 8700's are strong performers.

They require a sealed .9 to 1.25 cft box and a minimum of 325watts rms apeice.

They also have a one way Xmax of 18.5mm(infinity perfect 12s have 14.5mm,for compairison)

I have personally owned these subs and I can honestly say that they were the only subs that cound knock the wind out of my chest, the only reason i don't have these subs right now, is that some theiving ****ing lowlife with a deathwish thought that he deserved them more than me.

Also the Eclipse 8700's are priced alot more reasonably than the 8800"s
