I heard the Ed K's were SQ. I want them to be substatially louder then my 2 10" Type-R's

k's a good sql sub....plain and simple...good all around sub

but i doubt that a single k....(10" or 12" since they aren't making the 15" right now) .... would be a whole lot louder than your pair or type R's .... just won't happen...***cone area***

I would get 2 ed K's if I got them. I am asking what 2 subs would be alot louder then my 2 10" type-R's?? How much are the Ed K's??

If I got 2 12" Ed K's and put them in a sealed box with 1.5 cubic feet to both of them tuned to around 30 hz, how much louder would they be then my 2 10" Type-r's now that are in a sealed box with .65 cubic feet to each sub???

i'm sorry...i thought you meant 300 rms total...for two subs...not 300each...but ne ways....12k's would be louder...if the box was right....(might wanna think about going ported though)

i'm an idiot...I meant to put ported box with 1.5 cubic feet to each sub tuned to around 30 hz. How much louder would it be then my 2 10" alpines in that small sealed box?? Alot louder??

yes, they will be louder. Type R's have pretty good SQ...but are lacking in spl a little. The k's will be louder, and be better subs. BUT, for ported...i would go at least 2 cubes each for 10"...tuned around 32hz. they sound amazing, i have 2 12's! peace

I would like to know as much as possible about this sub. I really want a sub that is going to get alot louder then my type-r's. I want as much SPL as possible. How do these subs sound?? How do they look?? Should I go with the 2 10's or 12's?? Tell me all there is to know about the ed k's

ED's are supposed to make very high quality subwoofers, both in sound and build. Everyone who has had an ED sub is very happy with it, and that's why I need to place my order too..excpet shipping two ED K's would mean that the shippnig charges itself would turn out to be much more than the cost of the subs...dang...

well, if u can get a good 2.5 cubes after sub&port displacement...then i say 12's. IF not, then go 10's. You'll be happy either way...and those are for ported boxes which are the way to go for the most SPL....and they'll still sound good doing it. peace

If I have a 3 cubic foot box with 3 3" ports tuned to anything I want, Would you go with 2 10's or 2 12's for the most SPL??
