I'm purchasing an 06 Frontier in Feb.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif I was searching around and was only able to find a box with 5.5" max mounting depth and .84 cubes. I am looking for a 10" sub that would work well in this measurements.

Any ideas? I think an Image Dynamic sub might fit, but would like to hear more options. Obviously I would like to be as loud as this small space provides. Sub will be properly powered. thanks for the advice

Unfortunately you won't be able to run their O series because its mounting depth is over 5.5" but you can run their kv2's and they sound good. You can either run their 10 or 12 inch sub. They were designed to sound good in small sealed boxes.

I am thinking of going with the IDQ 10 or eD K. The box can also be made to fit a 8" L7. Any more opinions? I was thinking of using the NINe.2 amp from eD as well.

ID's require larger boxes than IDQ's, so Id probably not head that direction myself. IMO IDQ's are the king of small box woofers, working very well in amazingly small enclosures. But they aren't output monsters, if you can fit another sub in that space you might be happier (unless SQ is your ultimate goal).

If you've got the power (600+@ 4ohms mono) then maybe a Dayton Reference 10" High Output should be something to consider. I have the 12" version, but I haven't been able to listen to it yet, but for the 115 or so dollars you'd spend on it, you can't go wrong. Build quality is top notch, and it's a very capable looking driver.

Needs probably .6-.7 cubic feet, and has a mounting depth of 5".

Currently on sale at Parts Express for 96 dollars.

... too bad for it's beastly mounting depth. :p

If you are still debating over the IDQ and Kv.2, go with the IDQ... similar output, but the SQ of the IDQ is amazing.
