Best sub for sq?

It will depend on what kind of budget you have. I have heard alot of different setups using the JL W6V2 and they all sound great. For a little more thanW6V2 you can get a JBL W12GTi. I just heard one the other day and I cant imagine a sub sounding any better than that. A lot of people on this board will tell you to look into an IDMAX or a Mag. I cant comment on either of those.

I own a 12" GTI sounds incredable. 700watts to it and it gets loud too. I would reccomend one. If you want it real loud just run one on 1500 or so.

EDIT: It's a single 12 700RMS @ 3ohms from a JBL bpx500.1 2 cubes at 32hZ

Alright so right now i have 12" type r. How would the JBL compare to that?

Should i get a 10" or 12"?

Would 1 be enough?

How many watts rms and max should it get?

I had a type R before my w12gti mkii.......the type R is great for the price but doesn't compare to the w12gti. A more fair comparision would be a type X, they are not on the same level. Anyways the w12gti is ten times better in every way. The whole design of the w12gti is not like conventional subs like the type R. If space or money is not an issue get the 12. Give it 1000 watts to perform. It can take up to 2000 rms but your car will be ruined.
