This has probably been asked before, but I couldn't find it....
I am planning a system for a Honda S2000...not much room to work with and to save some dough, I want to use some of the stuff I already have. i.e....PPI 2100 and 2150 for amps.
My plan is to run Boston 6.5 Pro comps up front off the 2100 and a single 10 sub in the trunk off of the 2150, which bridged outputs 600 RMS at 4ohms. I am thinking of a sealed box requiring no more than 1.0 FT. Then if I need more punch, I have some 6.5LF boston mid drivers left over from a system that I could try running as midbass behind the seats with another amp.
Soooo...back to the sub question, I was considering a JL 10w6 but at 3ohms I am concerned about overloading the amp, since bridged its not designed to drive less than 4 ohms. Boston G5...is only rated at 450 watts RMS, so I think I'd probably fry it since as I understand it the 600 watts from the amp is a VERY conservative rating on those old PPI's...
Give me some ideas!!
