Best sub for 2.5 cube box and 1000 rms??

I currently have an ALpine type X 12 in it. Would a 15 type R work in that box or would the bass go to crap? Running a ZX1000.1

Im just looking for more output without having to get a new box or amp.

And I listen to mostly hip hop with occasional twist of alternative and techno.

i wouldnt put a type-R in that small of a box.

I have some DC level 3's that models up nicely in smaller ported boxes. I'll be using one in 2.4cu ft @ 28hz.

$150+shipping if you are interested. I fed them around 800-850rms each and they loved it.
