Best Sub at 1000w @1ohm???

CHANGE OF PLANS. So i started the thread on the sub at 500w rms, and was planning to buy an amp in the $100 range figuring i would get around 500w rms. But this kid i work with (who is not very familiar with car audio) offered me this amp that he still had from when he wrecked his car for $100. Turns out its a Rockford T10001bd. BONER!!!!!!!

I just hooked that shit up to my SX and it BANGS. But im still looking for a change in sub. Better sound quality. I've heard great about the FI Q and am leaning towards one of those.

Anybody got any suggestions? Better yet, a sub for me to buy?

A dd sub and a fi q are two entirely different types of subs... One is spl and one is sq (unless I'm severely mistaken), wtf?!

I vote for the 12" IDmaxv3d2!! amazing clarity and SQ. Will handle 1k rms all day long and gets decently loud. If you have the money or can find one used go with that.

The Si Mag would still work, although I woudn't want to run the amp at full power, in that case.

SQ of Re Sx was bad? or are you searching pure sq? it was a 12' 15' or what? I am considering a 10' Sx off 1000w rms

I have had a great experience with a Treo SSi woofer. They are smooth and deep amd have good Sq. I have also had a IDmax 12 on that power. This is also a nice choice. The treo I had was a 15, I liked the treo better than the IDmax personally

i have two w6's on it and they pound and sound nice doing so.. that amp is underrated too!! anywhere from 100-500watts underrated easily

im thinkin im gonna go with the Mach5 IXL. Seems like my kinda sub. And yes I feel guilty about the price i got the power fosgate for.
