I'm planning on picking up this sub from IkeSound.com tomorrow. RE recommends a 2.0 cubic foot ported enclosure tuned to 33hz. I was wondering if this is the accepted norm by people who actually run this sub or not. I was plotting a bit in WinISD earlier and seen that a little lower seems better. I was thinking 30hz or even 28hz. I enjoy low end response.

Any input would be appreciated,

if u tune too low u wont hear anything over 50hz

Yup, that is what I was worried about, I didn't want to go to low as to cut off my midbass, I do not want to have to cross at 60hz. I was wondering if 30hz is too low for this driver. The graph looks good, but that doesn't mean much.

I was also wondering how much port area I should shoot for with this driver??

If someone with the SE could chime in that would be well appreciated.

I've had SE's twice, 30 is too low if you don't have stellar midbass. Stick with 33Hz, the lows will still be quite nasty.

I have the se15 in the optimum 4cube 34hz and I dont feel it hits the lows that well and I was also planning on building a new box tuned to 30hz. So I'm anxious to see what kind of responses this brings.
