Best sub around $200

Yes i know this is similar to a previous thread but i know what i am looking for

I want a 10"- 12" sub that i could run in a relatively small enclosure (havent decided sealed or ported yet).

Looking to feed it about 1000W RMS @ 1ohm would consider anything close to that

How are the:

RE SX's

Ascendant Avalanche

Orion H2

and what else would you guys recommend

i have 1 s12l7 now in a ported, do you guys think it would be worth it switching to like one of the above subs? leaning towards an SX, advice is appreciated

The RE SX is alot of sub compared to many on the market if a 12" can be had for $200.00.

I wouldn't go too far as to guarantee the performance he is looking for, (which we don't know yet) with the SX in a small sealed box. It has a rather low QTS for that but a decent non-broken in Fs. The little subs they have should do well in small sealed, but he's talking about 1kw @ 1ohm and a $200.00 budget..... he's asking for alot with a little to offer. I can't do what I'm expected to do by others on this forum and recommend Digital Designs, because they simply don't have a dual 2ohm subwoofer that is in the $200 price range. It's hard to get a good 500wrms subwoofer for $200.00 that is going to last.

Oz Audio Matrix Elite fits that bill perfectly IMO...

Great budget sub that works well in small sealed boxes, and it can handle the power.

Well someone near me has a reconed RE SX 12" for $200 which i can pick up. Should i go for that? Or wait and try to find something else?

are you looking for more ouput? cause i don't see either sub doing that, especially in a sealed enclosure. an rl-p would be perfect, but you would have to look for a used dual 2 ohm.

I think i may end up going ported and just use all of my trunk space to get the better output that i want. $200 was basically the price range i was looking around, new or used, doesn't matter.

BTW what do RE SX's go for Brand New from RE, i asked them and they wouldnt give me a price over email.
