EDIT:

Question:

All the shops i've called tell me the largest/most powerful battery I can fit in my accord is group 51R:

(EXAMPLE)

http://shop.optimabatteries.com/products/productdetail/YellowTop+Group+51R+%28Reversed+Post%29+Dual+Purpose+%28Deep+Cycle+%26+Starting%29/part_number=D51R/1737.0.1.1.0.0.0.0.0

It doesn't look like I have alot of choices seeing that these are very "SLIM" batterys

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The starter battery in my vehicle now is shot and I'm need to replace it ASAP.

What brands are best in your opinion.

What specs should I be looking at when searching for a starter battery

Mind you I don't have time to order something so I want to base this off something I can purchase at the local SEARS, Kragen, ETC.

Right now starter battery is CRUCIAL.

then id agree with the diehard platinums...u could also find some dekas at local shops...if your lucky and can afford it, id go xs tho...ive got the s3400 and i love it

a deka from a local store will be WAY more expensive then the diehard, and not that much better. an XS on the other hand, will be better and more expensive. but good luck finding one local.

i have a red top that has been in my car for like 3 years now, and on a stock alt i have been running my systems just fine(adding exrta batts when needed of coarse) but it has never failed to sart my car and i change my systems all the time.
