i am looking for a good setup for my suburban. right now i have a jbl gto 5ez i will be using for the subs. so i will have 500 rms available. i will go bigger later. i have had many dual 12 setups. dual 10 setups, and fairly recently had a 15 in a low tuned, large ported box. i am more into sq but still like to get loud. my last dual 12 setup was Memphis audio mc12's ran by a polk pa880 at 500 watts, sold them and with the same amp later had a Memphis 15. both setups had the sq i wanted, but not quite as loud or hard hitting as i wanted it to be on occasion.
so my thoughts are
1- 3- 12" subs
2- 4 -12" subs
3- 2 -15" subs
4- 1- 18" Sub
i only want to build the box once. i will build based on my future sub plans, but my initial subs will probably be something like jbl gto's or something similar budget wise. then when i can upgrade electrical and get a large monoblock, i will upgrade to better subs also. something more along the lines of jbl gti subs or similar with lots of power.
right now i have too keep the budget low until i finish my house remodel.
