best SQ sub?

i've seen the RL-p and Mags mentioned several times as good sq subs...was just wondering if someone who has heard a lot of different subs could rank some of them. e.g. rl-p > sub X > sub Y.... personally, i own a 12w6v2 and am fairly happy with it. i just want to know what else is out there.

remember, this is based on sq only. i could care less about making the ground shake around me.

I love my RL-Ps... Wouldn't trade em for anything in the world besides D4 RL-Ss //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif...

Well are you talking SQ or SQL?

The mags aren't really pure SQ subs. Will some argue they have the best SQ out there? Yes, they will say that. But a pair of subs hitting in the mid 150's aren't really considered SQ drivers:crazy: So they are kind of a mix of great SQ, with a LOT of output.

It would be hard to rank them in order of which is best, but there are a few subs out there that most people will agree sound good. The W6's from JL, the IDmax subs, and other subs like those. If you have a sepcific quesiton on a certain sub, that could be answered. Like if you are looking for a sub that really plays the lows clean, or doesn't lack any of the higher bass frequencies. People will be able to suggest good subs for that.

I hope that helps:D

JL W6v2 was one of my fav sounding subs. Image dynamics IDQ is another great one. I would also put the Soundsplinter RL-i10 up there with great sounding drivers.

The RL-p is no means a bad sounding driver, but would not fall in the catagory for SQ IMO.

Depends how loud you're playing it, too.

A sub might have the best SQ compared to other subs at a particular volume, and go to hell in a handbasket a few more Db's up, where another sub is just starting to shine.

As usual:

There is no answer.

Yup. Ditto. Stuff.

My vote was for the Arc Flatline. I love mine, and very flexible for different applications.

a good SQ driver reproduces the input signal accurately, efficently, and has the ability to produce the extremely low notes as well.

The list drivers capable when you look strictly at SQ at a resonable level (below 125dB peaks) would be of greater number than the ammount of members who will add intelegence to this thread.

And I fixed your English.
