best SQ sub under $150

yeah that was I was thinking, my amp puts 300 rms at 2 ohm, but I would prefer using it at 4 ohm , so it pushes 200 rms, I think that it is enough power to get nice SQ, so maybe a JL would be better or a type S, ever heard the type E from alpine?

The 300 is pretty good for the R if in a sealed box, I hear they are better with higher wattage.

The type S is Okay, the E is worse. the E is a sub for best buy or circuit city or somethin like that. If it were me, Buy an 'R' and upgrade amp a little later.

i just thought of something. dont get the audiobahn sub, they have those nasty 6Ohm coils. so it will only work @3Ohms if you only get one.

what is your amp? is it 300RMS to one chan or bridged? is it 2Ohm MONO stable or 4Ohm MONO stable?

`audiobahns are made for spl only, they have NO sq, you said they can keep up with any sq around, what sq subs have you heard???? rfl?, kicker solos?

Hey Peru "The Specialist" is a chain of stores... They have good stuff but will try to sell you what they have... Last time I was there they had RF, Alpine, JL....

I recomend you buy your stuff online...

i am talking about the SQ subs from audiobahn. i am not going over this again. read my previous posts to find out what i was talking about.

as far as your question...

JL

the bahn

IDQ

kicker (not really SQ, but not too bad)

type-r (same)

PPI (**** good subs)

and the list goes on....

The Shiva will NOT work well for you..

not in taht box, and not with that power...

The Elemental DEsigns K series however, will work very well for you..

designed for small boxes... grossly underrated, but will perform bveutifully with 300 watts.

the K will sound great with anythingfrom .9 cubes, to 1.2 cubes sealed, with 1.2 im told sounding **** good.

plus, you ge tthe flexibility of teh VC optins..

go for the dual 4 ohm coils...

wire in parallel to 2 ohms and hold on!
