I think that Gloria Estefan greatest hits vol.II sounds pretty good for a pop album.

Edit: not to mention the CD really works my woofers hard.........I need more displacement.

i think the cleanest cd i have ever heard is the michael jackson essentials. i think that is it. either way it is the two cd set, they are gold. that is probably the cleanest recording i have ever heard. i keep them handy all the time for testing. that is generally the first cd i pop in, considering i am mainly a SQ guy.
also, a good recording a tom petty never hurts anyone either.

I just read this thread for the first time. I was gonna post this, so instead I'll just back you up on that group. My sister listens to that all the time. For the hell of it I put it in my system, and my jaws dropped. There is one part... by memory.... could be wrong... track 4 at 1:51...... there is some wooden percussion instrument that the person drags a stick across the bumpy surface..... the sound is recorded where it starts on stage left and ends on stage right. It sounds like the person is right in front of you!
