Best sq in crew cab under seat

So an sa 8 wont work unless i do a seat lift?

I hve no idea what that mean lol

How high tuned and how small of a box?
they can work in as little as .47 cubic feet after port and sub displacement. You can use 5/8 mdf instead of 3/4 since its only a pair 10s, proper use of bracing/fiberglass resin layer inside the box will keep it strong. Tuning would be around 37-40hz

All my Mexican buddies tune their stuff to low 40s for their corridos, they say anything lower than 34hz barely hits at all on corridos.

they want their peak to be around 60hz, 60-100hz is where most of the bass is if you analyze the sound spectrum of all these songs.

some even tune to 50hz

You make sacrifices with limited space under seat enclosures The very first thing to do is a side profile drawing to work up a mounting depth. Then a crude ball park enclosure volume. Then you can pick a sub and decide if a port is feasible. The trick to getting more volume and mounting depth out of these enclosures is to angle out the front of the enclosure. This nets more volume and mounting depth because the sub moves forward. http://www.caraudio.com/forums/che-ryman-custom-enclosures/612746-5-window-underseat-enclosure.html

Say i do a ported but i tune high for my pops but i drive the truck everynow and then and i listen to my hip hop. Will my music not play because isnt a sub NOT supposed to play below its tuning frequency? I understand with the right port area and box and all that a ported can be just as good as a sealed in sq maybe even better but in my situation i have limitations so experimenting isnt really an option.

Tune it low with no crazy amount of port area it will play everything very well.
How low? I had my zv4 10" in a 1.8 box tuned to 32 with a 4x15 aero and it only bumped decaf and low hip hop. Corridos and all that other stuff the sub was non existant and that was off 2200 watts

How much port area. Example my 12s where in 4 cubes net tuned at 33 with 14 sq inches per. They where 1.5db flat 26-50. Not much off at 60hz but I had them cut off there.

thats exactly why there's no output in that genre in his setup, corridos music has a majority of its bass lines in the 60-100hz. Download a corridos song, put it on audacity and analyze the sound spectrum, there is almost nothing under 60hz with that genre of music. To be honest, subs from a flea market/swapmeet with spanish music blasted has better/cleaner/stronger 60-100hz response then most subs we would recommend. Its a different type of market and a different type of sound that you probably do not prefer, its similar to concert style bass but even a little bit higher.

by then, its basically midbass subwoofers, not really sub subwoofers anymore.

This^^^ you got guys running the crappiest stuff ever, performance teknique amps, pre fab boxes, kicker and rockford stuff and their systems are LOUD not low or car flexin but audibly LOUD. you can hear their cars from more of a distance then you heard my zv4 and my hds.

with a higher tuning

That august alsina downtown song decaf'ed, you'll probably only hear the first bass hit, the low notes afterwards is dead silent, maybe a lil jiggle but thats it, definitely not how your hds 12 at 30hz would sound like, but lets say put on by young jeezy, the first bassline will knock you pretty hard and will slowly fade, the two final low basslines will be pretty quiet.
