Why 2 ohm? Usually 2 ohm speakers are less efficient than their 4 ohm equivalent and the extra power from running an amp at 2 ohms isn't enough to make up the difference. Also factor in that the amp will run hotter and drw more current. Kinda pointless to me.
The ID comps a rated to have the same efficiency in 2 ohm as 4 ohm (not sure how that's possible but whatever) so other than the amp running a bit hotter, no problem with those. They are a rare exception.
