best spl

ok im gettin two subs either 2 12"kicker l7 or 2 15"kicker l5 which would be better for spl in a sealed box.

its only been an hour man calm your ponies. my opinion the L7....but not sealed.....these subs sound like garbage in a sealed enclosure.....port it for the full potential

But I haven't heard either sub yet so sorry but I heard the L7 is what people usually use for SPL only. I owned a few Audiobahns before and they were ALL SPL.

If you want SPL then you don't want a sealed box, you'll have to go ported. As for being louder L7's are louder then L5's... as long as they are in a ported box. I can't say which will be louder in a sealed box if you still plan on doing sealed... going sealed and going for SPL really don't mix.

I have to say I have heard a few L7's in a large sealed box that had very solid SQ and control

naw im not really a big fan of rf, but i decided on 2 15" kicker l5 in a ported box 4 cu ft each chamber tuned to 35hz
