best speaker/amp setup

Well I want them to be good, and I would rather just throw the money down now and get something nice to hold me over for a couple years.

Noob question...I would only buy one set of comps...which is 2 speakers.

What would I do for the rears?

well, I'm a noob as well, but if you would read a bit on the web (this site, and others) the consensus is that rear speakers are a waste of time/money/effort. do a search on "rear fill" and see what you get.

what i meant is do you want rear speakers for your passengers or do you not care about them. me personally in my car i have a set of front componenets a 4ch amp and woofers. my 1 amp is powering everything up

There's $440 with $60 left to spare for some wire.

Oops, didn't realize you need power for the sub too. You'll need 4 channel:

It's going to be hard with that 12, but bridge the rears for the sub and power the OE rear speakers off the HU if you need rear fill. If not, just unhook them. That'll eat up the rest of your money. That 12 is going to want a lot of power.
