erite well my co worker says that Sony has the best sound quality with out an amp. i luaghed in his face and he was like you dont know shit...they have a very nice DSO setup...i wont lie im not 100% sure what DSO is but im pretty sure its the same thing as BBE that other decks have...

i was like Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood ( no order) are way better then Sony...

so give me some Fire PoWAAA for tomorrow so i can be like eat shit heres why...

thanks.

lol last time I brought that some guy started being a sony fanboi on a couple of us.

But IMHO the 3 car audio things Ive used of theres ( amp and 2 different CD players ) they were garbage.

High end home audio products on the other hand are a different story. Although they had a decent stint with the mobileES line.

Yep I was just gonna say, Pioneer makes (or use to make) decks with mosfet amps in them. real-world 30-50 watts per channel. Havent played with one yet, but Im confident it would be a contender for best for a setup with no external amp.

my Kenwood has that feature.

i can turn it on or off.

sony car audio and home audio is trash. there video stuff is very high quality and there computers are good also.

in my experience kenwood is also trash. a lot of boat companies use them and they always sound bad

i have a pioneer and for only a deck i think it sounds good.

Not all of it is trash. There is better out there, especially for the money, but not all Sony home audio stuff is trash. Their car audio hasn't impressed me either (yes, I've used xplod products in my car before so I'm not just bandwagoning it) but again, there is worse. I know people who have their head units and amps and they're not of very high build quality...at least the cheap ones anyway.

Back on topic... I think it depends on what you're powering. If you have a component set and you want good sound, I'd say you definitely need to look into getting an amp. If you keep an eye out for used deals you could score a 2 channel amp for under $100.

I'd recommend looking into the Sony ES line...

there are a few good sony decks.

cdx-90 or something along those lines, they have about three that have burr brown pocessors in them. i hae a pioneer now, but it doesn't campare to the eclipse i had.

Um you my friend, are dumb....

Home audio= great for middle of the road shit.... I mean BA, Onkyo, and Denon kick their ***, but those are 1000$ min 5.1 setups.... (pre-matched stuff)

Also considering that Samsung makes all Sony LCDs......

Computers??? What are you on? you could buy twice the computer for what they are charging....

Anyways, they are a big name, and I think you can always "trust" them... Might not always be the best option, but you are never going to find that the Sony product is "the worst"........

That is the only sony line that I would allow in my car.. But then again, i may not, because of the sony name...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
