best sounding 6 1/2 speakers?

need to replace door speakers, they were kenwood 6 1/2 , i like kenwood decks, why i bought kenwood speakers i dont know, but they are toast, any suggestions?

welp, im not loking for a show system by any means, just something that sounds good, decent bass, and will hold up.............its in a civic hatchback , i have bookshelves in the back amped, the doors will be head driven.........

Did you just say you're going to power them on your HU? I'd recommend some...random ass **** in that case. Read: don't bother spending money on good 6.5 components if you can't afford to amplify them properly.

Totally agree. I have some decent sounding 6.5" speakers that I could let go. Pm me about them if your interested.

if they are just running off the HU, you probably aren't going to get the sound you want. i don't think it's worth it to pay a lot of money for speakers that you aren't going to amp. i would just get whatever is cheap.

As mentioned by pat and darren... Point is, nobody makes "good sounding 6.5's" that can run off of HU power and be classified that way. 6.5" components do not receive enough power from any HU i've ever seen to actually sound 'good'. Sure, they'll sound...they just won't sound good. Most HU's can push...15, maybe 20 watts RMS at their bleeding edge. 15 watts is pathetic for a 6.5" component set. My 1" tweeters alone likely pull more than 10-15w. It's a great way see how badly you can push the HU into clipping at least...
