why would you guys vote as the best "sheet" deadener? i'm not talking about liquids or sludge type things, just foil coated deadeners such as fat mat and dynamat xtreme. i'm starting to get the funds together to set up the system ( //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif ) and i will obviously need deadener. looking at fat mat because i've heard lots about it, but i figure i'll ask the experts. so what do u guys claim is the most effective deadener that is still in a sheet form? thanks!

I vote SecondSkin Damplifier Pro. There is a head to head comparison somewhere amongst the top 10?? most popular sound deadener. It ended up with SS, Dyn Xtreme, and I think it was RAAmat coming out on top.

SS also has alot of B-stock selling very cheap right now. http://www.secondskinaudio.com

Raammat hands down IMHO http://www.raamaudio.com

Excellent performance at an excellent price. Raammat is the best value on the market in terms of price/performance. Plus Rick, the owner, is one of the nicest guys you'll ever do business with.

There was the sound deadening challenge not too long ago that Ant posted up....and they determined (in their testing) that Raammat was best bang for the buck on the market. Dynamat Extreme and SS Damplifier Pro perform slightly "better"......but at 2x+ the cost.

so the general concensus is that raammat is the best overall? how's this bstock stuff from 2nd skin? i remember someone made a thread about it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I've used SS Damplifier (not sure if it was B-stock or not), and frankly I liked my Raammat more than the Damplifier. Easier to work with, didn't tear as easily, I liked having it on a roll rather than being pre-cut pieces, etc etc

how hard is this stuff to apply yourself? any tutorials available? thanx, ca helps like a mother

For ease of application and install, Hushmat is my preferred choice. Damplifier Pro is also **** fine stuff. I've had experience in Dynamat, D. Extreme, RoadKill, and Fatmat. I won't consider any of the latter with the exception of dyanmat extreme.

Yes. That is another factor I like about Polk Audio speakers. They can dig a bit deeper than the majority of components within the same price...

Brahmas are nice. I have a 10" Mk1. Just a single 10 was enough for me.
