** Best small mounting depth subs? **

In doing some prelimenary calculations, and through help from Mark and Alaxan, I may not be able to fit my proposed 10" subs, the Brahmas, under the rear seat of my truck due to a possible mounting depth deficiency. Does anyone know of a good small mounting depth sub (5.5" or lower) that will yield extremely good SQ at high levels but also produce a good amount of SPL? Also, does anyone happen to know the specs on the new Elemental A-Series 10" sub?

Elemental A would be the best way to go...followed by DD 3510. The e10a is 600w rms, and just under 5 inches in mounting depth.

Thanks for the reply RangerMan. Do you have a web site for the DD sub? Also, have you, or anyone else for that matter, ever listened to an a/d/s sub? I've heard several good things about them but would like to get more opinions. Unfortunately, I do not have the luxury of listening to any subs thus my reliance on opinions.

I have a 3510 and it is awesome...

As far as a/d/s I actually like it, but their stuff is kinda mediocre...I have a 3510 and an e10a if you want one...the e10a is pending a trade. I can get pics for ya if you'd like

If I remember correctly, I have heard differing opinions on the 3510 being less of a SQ and geared more towards SPL.

Thanks for the offer on the subs, but I am needing two 10s. And with regards to the e10a, do you have the old or new (new being the one set for release on mid-September) model?

Nope, it's the old one...but the reason I'm selling these subs is to get the new A series!!! You looking for SQ?

Yes, my first priority is SQ at any volume but would also like a good amount of SPL if called upon.

My cousin has a A/D/S 10" in his 2001 Honda Oddesy, very very nice sub, good SQ, with a good bang crystal clear sound. he also has A/D/S fronts 1000watts with a Eclipse Deck forget witch series but my opinion on his setup is perfect!.. :>

I think he has the ads 310rs. and he it in a 1q ft box. Hey used to go hardcore but now he's married and his wife doesn't want loud so he is SQ now.
