I have tons of friends that run the 9885 or 9886, which are the ones that caught my attention. I think the newer versions of those is the Alpine CDE 123 and up to the 305. I was thinking of trying the 123. I figure if I don't like it, i can just send it back and put the ole Kenwood back in lol

yeah , but the 9885,86 are very lame featureless decks compared to the 35,53,55. The tuning potential there on those decks is **** near endless.

the clarion slider its a bad *** read a 250 gig hdd

31 band per channel

3 way active

all 6 channels had time alignment

all 6 had level control

I've wanted an alpine cda 117, but haven't heard too much good stuff...

the clarion is an older model about 4 years some pop up every now and then

now if you want an all analog deck with no crap DSP to make it sound like crap i have 2 of the best ever made for sale denon dct r-1 and a sony cdx c-90

Are these fully integrated to play and charge iPods? And I bet you want a pretty penny+ :/

they can play anything on the rca inputs

they have no capabilities to control them

you can charge them with an ipod charger

both decks were made before the ipod was made

the denon is a bit pricey but it comes in a crazy combo with signal meters and a changer

the sony is virtually new has anti shock and a wired and wireless remote

both have copper chassis and rca ins and outs

the denon has a deflatable internal amp the list of reasons goes on and on for what makes either deck better than anything available under 500
