Best setting for jl 1000/1 for 2 12w6v2

Ive been having trouble with my system and finally after a year and 3 bad amps jl is sending me a brand new working amp. I want to install it myself but i want to know what the best tuning (for the amp) for running two 12w6v2. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are a ton of tutorials on how to set things up on here. It isn't rocket science. We can't tell you set dial 1 to X and dial 2 to Y, every setup is different and every amp is going to need different settings to work.

sounds like i didnt know what i was doing, wanted to be really loud maxed out the gain, i really like bass so i maxxed the bass boost, jl amps must **** cuz 3 of them messed up, how should i set it ca

It was the same amp they tried repairing it 3 times, bought it off ebay was the problem. I hooked subs up to a 1000/1v2 and there was no clapping and it wasn't shutting off... Now the amp just sits on with no output, but i know the amp is connected because when i move the switch on the far right i get a pop from subs but nothing with music. It worked the first day and then shut off. As far as settings go, i'm not gonna max out gain just want decent bass, and all the switches the proper way.. would be willing to send someone money on paypal if they sent me specs on how it should be set up... JL is sending me a brand new amp as soon as they see this one is in the mail and i wanna make sure i get proper settings...

theres gotta be some kind of standard setting for two jl w6v2, if you give me your email i will send you pics of system and you can tell me what to do, il compensate you on paypal... I'm not asking how to install the system, I just wanna know what to turn the dials on the amp to.

You're very lucky if you bought the amp from ebay and JL is willing to send you a new amp (however, I doubt thats actually whats going on).

First, make sure you have both subs wired correctly. You maight have them wired to 1 ohm, which the JL amp cant run. Make sure you have them wired to 4 ohms. If you dont know how, google "Rockford wiring wizard" and it will tell you how. Next, be sure you have adequate wiring to the amp. JL calls for true 4awg wire. Then make sure you have a good ground on bare metal.

Once you verified all that is correct, simply set up the amp like the Manual says. JL has some of the best product manuals. If you cant figure out how to set up the amp using JL's manual, then you are seriously retarded:fyi:
