Best set of comps for the $300ish or more price range

I am still unsure what comps to get. I don't want to make the wrong investment, I think a front stage will be the most important thing to me because i love my SQ and detail. Also I love PUNCHY speakers. So far here are the options I've come up with:

1) Image Dynamics xs65

2) Rainbow CMX 265 Kicks

3) Re xxx6.5" (they might not fit - leave them out of the debate for now)

Any other sets that top these? I really don't know which set to get. Which set is the BEST for the $300ish price range? I want the best comps possible

As much as I love the CMX's, I'd have to say go with the xs65's. From what I've been reading, they're supposed to be fantastic. You can't go wrong with the CMX Kicks, either, though.

for $300 you can get a $600 set if you dont mind lightly used, theres a lot of peeps out here that change equipment regularly.......and when its good equipment they take care of it, i never buy new/retail.

I have a set of Adire Koda in my car. I like them even tho i know i lack midbass. Not because the Kodas lack them, but its my installation. I have them in stock location in a 325ci which is on the door panel itself instead of the door metal the panel snaps onto. And yes, i know about the custom baffle..

Anyways................. aside from that problem

I am DYING to hear the new XS65 ID comps. Theres probably two reviews I have found and they weren't real world reviews which doesnt help.

The Critical Mass will handle more power, and I think the tweeter is better:

But if you like soft domes and want to save some money, I'd go with PPI 356cs, they are pretty close to the ID XS65. ID's handle a hair more power than the PPI set.
