I have some rust on my car and some is surface rust and others its penetrating and pretty bad. I bought some stuff that you spray on rust after cleaning it with a wirebrush and it turns into primer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

It seems to be a quick fix but for the serious rust I need somthing that will stop the rust from spreading b/c its on the chassis and can get expensive if i leave it un-treated

I have been using Rust Fix

I have been looking @ Extend which was recomended to me by a shop that repaired some of my rust. But Rust Fix seems like the same thing.

I know somthing like Rustbullet, POR-15 and other conversion products would work the best for me.

Any opinions on what the best is?

ANT from second skin if you want to send me some Rust Dust i would be happy to write a review //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Grind away and cut out all sections with rust. Scrape down to good metal. Repaint with your rust treatment or quality rust proofing paint.
Rust is a cancer. You won't cure it with a topical cream.
yep true is this info. the only way i have stopped it without cutting is blast until white with a mixture of AL oxide and #8 glass bead. That gets deep into pores and gets it out. After all of that then a rust treatment, sanding, priming, painting. If you can take the parts off a good hot tanking and electronic de rusting works well also. They pull a small 5-10 volt charge on the parts in a reverse plating type action removing rust.

You have to sand or bead blast rust out THEN seal it with POR-15. No other choice on how to do it.

I just finished doing some touch ups on my '50.

ttt I know at least somebody has had rust on their car...
If it's light surface rust, Coca Cola straight will remove it. For penetrating rust, I've found nothing better than Naval Jelly. I mean who knows more about rust than the U.S. Navy. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I had some minor rust on the rain gutters of the E-150 that I treated with Rust Bullet.

From the pictures of yours, though...you've got problems that won't get fixed short of a torch and welding.
