Ok.. I effed up one of my RCAs, and I need to replace it, but I was thinking of possibly replacing 2 2 channels w/1 4 channel.

Please tell me which would be the best of these:

(clearly this is better of these two, but WHAT is the major advantage??)

(which series there would be best?? I currently have the hyper series)

prices for stinger stuff

***** OR *****

would you recommend a different brand?

Basically, I see a LOT of different types of interconnects, and I have no clue wtf is the big difference/advantage of them...

are the hyper ones with a foil wrapper inside?

those are the ones i have, and then i have a set of the rockford fosgate ones that cost like 50 bucks at best buy for my front channel, since they're my best components, and honestly, there's no difference, except the fact that my type-r's in the back are just about toasted //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif poor poor type-r's

yes, the hyper ones are foil wrapped inside the cable.

Hell.. I'll dissect the one I effed up when I get my replacement cables and show you what's in there :/.

What type of car/truck do you guys have?

I run the speaker/RCA wires on the opposite side of my car, but I do have an intrepid, and those are pretty long cars.... if length might make a difference...

The general difference between interconnects in car audio is appearance and psychoacoustics. And competent installer should be able take two pieces of standard 18 gauge trigger wire and attach ends to make interconnects. When done correctly I would bet money that not a single person on here could sit in a vehicle and do an A/B comparision and point out which is which without just guessing. If looks are important than base it on that, if not then just go with whatever you can get your hands on. PLEASE NOTE im not saying there arent trash cables out there, but what I am saying is that there is no audible difference between stinger hyper series and stinger helix series and so forth. Basiclly either make your own or stick to any reputable maker and your fine.

100% correct. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

To answer your previous question, Phrozt, as far as the Stinger interconnects are concerned, the Expert-series are their "best."

I bought all my cables off of eBay and paid around half of what they would have retailed for at a B&M store. I run three different kinds of interconnects (so I could remember more easily which was which once I got them from behind the HU into the trunk) and there's no audible difference from one to the next...and all three are from different manufacturers.
