Best "Loudness" for Buck

ok well in that case yea i will be running active. So the AA's wouldnt work?
yes but you would need an amp for the mid's and an amp for the highs, or you could even go 3 way,//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

o ok i knew that lol but right now i have an old pioneer deck that i will be upgrading soon but as far as amps go for highs and mids i was looking into the ALPINE MRP-F450. I dont have any crossovers either.
You have to have a crossover to run active. I'm not familiar with that amp but it might have a crossover.....I still say if you want to run active read up about it by searching this forum but I'd go the easy route and get a component set it will be alot cheaper in the long run.......

Running active isn't for everyone as I have read.

I don't think I will do it for a while.

I think a good passive setup will be worth your while and give you what you want. How much are you looking to spend on your setup? Get something in your budget. The more you can afford, the better sound your gonna get.

.......as for running rears, use good cheap coaxils and spend more on the front set.

sure, I wouldn't know what to cross them at right off hand you would need the mid and tweet first.
alright then. I'll read around a little more. As far as budget go im unsure. I guess im messing up by trying to make a nice set up with very little $$$ ya kno. I guess the AA's caught my eye because of their price for them. I would say around $300.

Those are great buys from what I hear.....what you didn't consider is a matched up tweet will probably cost more than the mid and then you still need a x-over, it would still be in your budget though
