PPI,Zap,Soundstream,Linear Power etc...all my old school amps still works perfect, like NEW so quality for sure in my book.

Hmm....Zed tops the list I'd say, zapco's up there, as is sundown. Audison, brax/helix, mcintosh, all the horribly overpriced ones you see are actually very nice regardless of aforementioned price, and quite reliable to boot. Really most amps are of a pretty high quality, and are generally pretty reliable these days until you get into the flea-market/walmart brands like legacy or pyle.

Old school amps like the Orion HCCA 2100 and the US Amps VLX400 and the USA-800 make me prefer the old school amps to the new ones. Besides the current draw, all those old amps are great to have. I think the old school amps are some of the best American made amps (Well the ones made in America). I wish I had the money to run some of these rare amps just to play with them. I've always wanted the older PPI's and Orions.

Orion HCCA 225s, 3rd gen with built in x-over

Orion HCCA 2100s, ANY gen. Wonderfilled monsters.

And yes, I own these, and have been chasing down more, as I need an additional 2100. lol.

I ran my 250 on 2 CVR122s, all parallel bridged for 6 months. The amp was on top my downfire box under the rear seat of my silverado. The seat was pressed against the amp at all times. No room for air circulation, and at .5 ohm, I was very impressed with what it was capable of.

I own 6 Orion HCCA amps and 3 PG MS series amps. Even with all that I bought a Sundown and I'm thinking of buying 2 or 3 more while they're on sale. That should say something about my satisfaction with my current Sundown amp.
