Best Powered Sub?

I am still searching for the perfect setup to install in my 96 mustang cobra. I already have an Alpine head unit. Space is a big issue, so I was thinking about a single 10. My budget is $300 for the amp and sub, it would be great if I could get the wiring and box materials for that as well. I am now looking towards a powered sub. Right now I am thinking the Infinity Basslink or Alpine PLT-5. I don't hear much about the Alpine, but it seems to have great reviews. Here is a link to it:

Are there any other powered subs I need to consider? Bazooka tubes?? Thanks.

you can honstly find a much better subs and amp to use that doesnt take much space rather than use a tube or anything
get a couple 8s or something
I keep being told this, but I can not find anyone to explain. What subs? I was wanting to go that route, but when I make a post, everyone says a budget of $300 for amp and sub is not possible. I need to know what sub for my budget. Thanks for any input.
